This collection draws inspiration from a memorable scene in The Silence of the Lambs, where Hannibal Lecter, despite being confined by a straight jacket, exudes absolute control over a room of police officers. The aim of this project was to capture the dichotomy of restraint / power through fabric, print, and creative pattern cutting techniques. This juxtaposition is embodied in features like intricate knotting reminiscent of straight jacket straps, and the deliberate limitation of arm and upper body movement, set against graceful silhouettes, fluidity, and relaxed garment designs.
